The point :
Install the included driver from your soundcard. I have Lexicon Alpha and Presonus Audiobox. Both have their own ASIO driver, so download it at the manufacturer website.
What is ASIO
ASIO is a protocol for sound card driver. First was made by Steinberg (the one who made Cubase and Nuendo), resulting a soundcard can be used exclusively by software.
Because of that, the one soundcard that is used can’t be used for another application (for example, watching YouTube). So for outside Live, you need other soundcard.
Your soundcard doesn’t have ASIO Throw it away No, use ASIO4all. But then, I still recommending you to buy other soundcard.
Next you need to open the Live preferences. (Shortcut : CTRL ,)
Click the audio menu, then select driver type. Select ASIO, then select the driver you want. Usually, it has the name of the soundcard, for example “AudioBox ASIO Driver”
Sample rate, just use 44100. For latency and the other problem, you can check the ASIO panel. At this part, consult to your manual.
Then plug in your speaker.
